When we asked Lindsy Broome, Clinical Specialist in our Neonatal ICU, which of our four core values resonates the most with her, she combined two together and told us, “Live compassionately drives me to lead tirelessly. If you’re inspired and emotionally touched by our work, you feel a certain sense of responsibility in caring for our patients; you can see how your actions impact their lives every day, and that pushes you to lead tirelessly.”

The responsibility of caring for our patients is something Lindsy is extremely familiar with, and it’s what initially drew her to Texas Children’s in the first place. “I have a background in working in patient safety and quality,” she explained. “When I moved to Houston I had a friend working here—talking to her made me realize the values Texas Children’s stands for aligned with what I wanted out of a career.”
